Unpacking is the pits

So clearly I am going to do everything in my power to put off unpacking.

Friday was a crazy day. It started off with me forgetting to pack a single bra for my 3-day weekend and realizing this when I was at the gym halfway to campus and had just gotten out of the shower. So what did I do? Put on my sweaty, soaked sports bra, got ready in lightning speed, sped back home, got a bra then flew to work. Good times. Only me.

Later on my supervisor let me out early to try and get ahead of the Labor Day weekend traffic. Nice try! I left UConn at 3:15 and didn't even get to the Throg's Neck Bridge until a little after 7 (Normally I could have made it to the end of Long Island by that point). Good times. But everything happens for a reason so although I was over an hour late for my dinner reservation with Jaci and Ed, b/c I was late I was able to pick up Joe who would have otherwise still been at the laundromat if I didn't hit traffic. When Joe and I were passing the Peter Pan Diner in Bayshore just minutes away from the restaurant Becky texted me "hey" (which was a bizarre coincidence seeing as I just got to her town & was outside her fav diner). I replied but she never did so the whole night that was bugging me b/c it seemed odd. We had a lovely dinner (aside from the awkwardness of Jackie and Kristen not remembering me even though I just went with them on a big group trip to Splish Splash a few weeks back, that's fine haha). When we left Joe and I didn't want to call it a night yet so we were aimlessly driving around when Jaci called to say she left her sweater at the restaurant. I drove back which put me back in Becky's town and decided to swing by her house (Jaci's forgotten sweater keeps us with the everything happens for a reason theme). When I got there Joe and I swooped in and Becky freaked out with surprise and shock. Apparently when she called me she was at the ER for kidney pain similar to that she's had in the past but then remembered I had plans so ignored my texts and calls the rest of the night b/c she didn't want me to "ruin my plans and rush to her". Silly bitch. Joe and I stayed there for a few hours and we had intense discussions about all sorts of things ranging from politics to the health care crisis in America haha. At like 1am I realized though I didn't want to leave these people we needed to call it a night since I'd been up since 5 so I drove Joe home and called it a night.

Saturday I headed into the city to celebrate Teresa's 24th bday! We spent the day at the Boat Basin Cafe which is a lovely indoor/outdoor restaurant, got drunk in the middle of the afternoon off of delicious happy hour beverages, and at one point I fell asleep laying on the cement stairs surrounded by Teresa's family like a hobo b/c my daily 5am wakeups and midday drinking caught up with me haha. Afterwards we headed over to Crumb's where Teresa indulged in a scrumptious Reese's cupcake and I a carrot cupcake (typical for us!) Then we parted ways and I eventually head back to the island that is long. Here's my fav pics of the day:

Today I putzed around the house all morning doing stuff then drove back to CT and most importantly BOOKED A FLIGHT TO TEXAS TO SPEND THANKSGIVING BREAK WITH CASSIE!!!!!!! I leave on Saturday the 22nd and return on Friday the 28th. I can't freakin' wait!

Okay, I seriously need to unpack now that I've put it off for the past like 4 hours.

TX in 82 days!!!
