My sister sent me a link to a rant a guest on Conan O'Brien went on about how ungrateful we have become, and how we have it so good compared to in the past yet still find ways to complain about everything. I think it's important to remind ourselves of that frequently to remain humble and appreciative and be happy with what we have because it could be a lot worse. Here's the video if you're so inclined:
Another thing that made me happy recently was Google being in honor of "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" the other day as that is one of my all time fav children's books
I got a haircut, its almost at the length it was when I chopped off all my hair freshman year and stacked it
I'm eager to see how it looks today when I blowdry and style it myself, the girl at the salon didn't blowdry it to my liking hence why I sprunched it. More pics are likely to come
Crissy and my date was a ton of fun last night and I also got to meet a guy she's seeing and I'm a fan. We went to Sawadee in Manchester and I got the drunken noodle w/ tofu and vegetables (yumm), we all split fresh spring rolls w/ the best peanut sauce you'll ever have in your life, and I got sticky rice w/ thai custard for a dessert (it was good, I don't think I'd get it again but it was worth trying). We had a lot of time before the movie so we went to the bar inside the theatre and kicked back some drinks before seeing "I Love You Man" which was freaking hilarious and I highly suggest you go see it. I even got a new nickname from Crissy out of it, call me Jobin haha. The guy at the counter suckered me into buying the extra large drink for $.50 more, which unbeknownst to me was the length of Crissy's torso lol
Today I did tasky stuff, worked out, picked up Twilight, and now I'm about to do some homework before gamenight at Senor Pepin's. All in all, my first weekend in CT in a really long time is turning out pretty fantastic. Plus it was snowing on Long Island yesterday so I don't think I'd ever been more happy to be in CT where it was spring and I wore capris.
Tomorrow shall be lots of preparing for the big job interview Monday, eeps wish me luck. If I get a good feel that the staff and environment would be a good fit, I would take this job hands down. We'll seeeeeee
I'll leave you with some fabulous pics of my adorable niece Kayla when here school did old fashioned photos.
