So I've decided now that I've entered big girl world and no longer come home to papers and chapters to read for grad school that I want to get back to casual reading again. This reason is two-fold, obviously to expand my mind, vocabulary, knowledge, intellect and all that good stuff, but also to fill the time as often times I come home and am harshly reminded that I am 24, live alone, with no end in sight so rather than eating or drinking my feelings I feel a more productive and beneficial way to alleviate these concerns would be to read my feelings

For years I've been adding to an overwhelming list of books I want to read based on feedback from friends, things I've read/seen on TV, or just many of the classics I was too much of a slacker to devote my energy on in high school when I was sparknote.com'ing my way through HS English. What books have truly racked your brain that you suggest I put toward the top of my list?

I love your idea! I have started partaking in community service and reading to keep my mind agile and relaxed. My current book is Burned alive: A Victim of the Law of Man by Souad. It is only a few pages over 200 and is heart breaking!!
I hope you are well and I think you are so lucky to be 24 and have all the fortune in the world. Looking back on my time as a 23-25 year old living alone I read more, worked out more, learned to cook and really learned about me...Some days I would love a night in reading a book by candle light, in the bubble bath with a glass of wine...those were the good old days :o)
did you read middlesex???
