Aside from my life being completely up in the air, life is wonderful. I graduate in 10 days, have no more homework ever, the weather is beautiful (my sinuses disagree but screw them!), I have balls in the air with job opportunities and just hope one hits me soon, I have an overnight on campus interview with Bennington College May 11-12th! My niece Kiley will be born May 22nd, and as always I have amazing friends and family to fill my time.
This past weekend was exhausting but wonderful. I had lunch with my old supervisor Linda Drake on Friday. It was great to catch up and long overdue. Throughout our lunch we kept hearing this "hallelujah" music randomly in waves, but couldn't figure out where it was coming from. Sketchy. Toward the end of our lunch my phone kept going off but I kept ignoring it thinking it was Mary or my sister just checking in, until I looked across the street to see Tooker, Crazy Nick, and Mackey. They had been wandering around and calling me trying to find me, crazy life. As I strolled thru town with them I found the source of the hallelujah music, a crazy old man wearing board shorts, and unbuttoned Hawaiian shirt, and a "neckerchief" as Tooker coined it, parading thru town with a ghetto boom box flooding Oneonta's ears with Jesus' praises. Only in Oneonta. Then not 15 minutes later we're all sitting on Mackey's porch when a skanky old townie woman comes walking up wearing a black see thru halter gypsy top with gold bling dangling off of it, no bra, open back with her worn out tramp stamp, and shorts. Wait it gets better. Behind her she was pulling her daughter who couldn't have been more than 4 in a Radio Flyer wagon. Clearly this woman just got off her shift at the Novelty Lounge and picked up the tot from daycare. Keep it classy Oneonta. Then I head over to Hackford's and chilled with the girls and Crazy Nick until Amanda came and we ran errands, got cold cheese pizza for dinner from Mama Nina's (it was the Ultimate's first time experiencing this delight!), head back to Hackford's for a bit where Cait entertained us with some Sinead O'Connor karaoke, and Amanda and I took an impromptu photo shoot. Here's one of my fav pics that resulted from this:
Afteward we head over to Dean, Andrew, and Eddie's for a party. It was a ridiculously random party filled with more people I didn't know than did which is unusual for 12 Ivy Court. Overall it was a great time, and it ended with me walking downtown with Thor to visit Yonkahs, losing him, realizing I had no phone to call him, meandered around Water St. trying to find him and running into all sorts of people, then eventually calling it quits and making a creepy walk back to the boys house by myself well after 3am and passing out on the couch next to Crazy Nick where I had the pleasure of having him fart and kick me in the face until I decided to get up at 9am and clean.
Andrew and Taryn woke up not long after and we went to get coffee and peruse local garage sales and soak up some of the beautiful weather. I bummed around their house for a bit piecing together and commiserating the night prior with everyone, then eventually head to Meg's to shower, grab lunch and head downtown to OH Fest.
I spent the day frollocking, ran into all sorts of people, had many an awkward convo, saw many a white trash sketchy townie, and got to spend some quality time with Lisa and her bro. It had been FAR too long since I've seen her (since last summer as a matter of fact). Here's a pic of Lisa, Jayson, and I from the day:
Becky, Josh, and Lauren got there around 3:30 so I chilled with them for a bit, grabbed dinner at Athen's, then head over to Hackford's to chill with her and Cait, sit down and rest my ankles, cool off, then head down for the concert in the park. We missed the Journey cover band, but apparently didn't miss much, Rahzel was fantastic, and I left not soon after b/c The Atari's were putting me to sleep, and I was sick of being outside with the bugs as was Lauren so we head to the bars. Here's some pics from the show:

Cait and Yonkahs eventually met up with Lauren and I, Lauren head back to the hotel and Lisa arrived, ridiculous conversations and reunions took place (such as seeing my old resident for the 2nd night in a row and asking her all the same questions I did at Dean's that I didn't remember I had asked haha), Cait pulled out Yonkahs nipple hair, I fell asleep at the Oak while everyone played some weird game with nude women I didn't understand. The night ended with Connolly and I sitting outside Cosmo's indulding in amazing cold cheese pizza, then heading back to Cait's and eventually passing out. Here's some pics:

Sunday I woke up, got ready, then Mackey and I head to 'Cuse to visit our darling Bunker and see Ben Folds and Guster. We spent the afternoon on Jenn's porch kicking back Bud Light Limes, all of us got rather buzzed on a mere 4 in an hour which was rather entertaining, then head off to grab some yummy falafael before the show. It was an amazing concert, which included complimentary chocolate soymilk from some hot hippie dude giving it away in a Radio Flyer wagon outside (yes the 2nd time I mentioned Radio Flyer wagons in 1 post, weird haha). Ben rocked the house till midnight and did the best performance of "Not the Same" I've ever heard but my camera died so I couldn't capture it. Mackey and I then picked up some snacks and made the long and exhausting drive back to Oneonta, and I passed out by 3:30am. I woke up at 7am on Monday which was painful, drove Mackey to campus, visited my lovely ladies of Mills and got my usual smoothie like old times, head over to Golding to have a moment to myself outside my old home on my favorite spot on campus which was rather emotional, then drove back. Here's pics:

As soon as I get out of work I'm going home to workout and go for a run outside and I can't wait.
