who knew

This weekend was a very fun-filled weekend in CT. After my phone interview I baked Mary a brownie & chocolate chip cookie cake w/ dark chocolate frosting.

I picked her up at 5, then we went to our old fav Sneaky's for cheap drinks & apps. It was a very good turnout, almost everyone I would have wanted to see was there, and no one I didn't want to see which is the perfect equation for a fun evening. Here's some pics:






Saturday I worked out for a while, gave myself a pedicure, relaxed, then Mary, Colin, myself, and Kevin went to see Adventureland (I'm a huge fan, it was funny but not ridic funny like Superbad and had a very good plot line and a happy ending which I am always a sucker for... plus it doesn't hurt that it was based on the theme park on Long Island I basically grew up on). After we had a yummy dinner at Rocco's, a cute Italian joint Crissy recommended, then picked up some booze and came back here, chilled, watched Billy Madison, and told stories. A lovely day.

Today, Mary, Col, and I woke up and head to campus where I ran in my very first 5k up and down and up and down Horsebarn Hill on my campus at UConn (it's a ridiculously tough course) on a very blustery day at the wind tunnel that is UConn with a VERY upset tummy and I did it in 35:44! I'm pretty impressed given the aforementioned obstacles and excited to see how I do in a 4 mi. run I'm doing this Sunday with Mary, Colin, and his sister. Here's a pic of me in action.


Tomorrow is Mary's bday, so I'm taking her out to Pizza Hut b/c she's really 6 at heart & wants nothing more than to go there. Crissy fabulously offered to make ice cream sandwiches for dessert so tomorrow shall be a yumfest.

That's all the news fit to print. 33 days till graduation... can't come soon enough I have NO willpower to do work anymore haha
