The heart of life is good

Squeezing in a quickie as I surely won't have time to blog this week so I want to share the highlights of this past weekend:
-The Straylight Run concert was GREAT. They played almost everything I was hoping for, except for "The Tension and the Terror". It was def weird without Michelle doing some of the vocals but I filled in for her when appropriate haha. HOWEVER, I was called "Miss" by some kid in a band while I was leaving which totally put me into a tizzie

-The Undercover Eggplant
is most definitely one of my fav restaurants and brings me great joy. Megan and I went there on Friday and I got a scrumptious eggplant parm sandwich with pasta salad, & a caramel sweet potato pie. See below:




-I made a new friend who is absolutely fascinating and from what I know so far is basically and ultra conglomeration of all my favorite people. I don't know how we haven't met before, but now we have and have found the key to spiritual harmony haha

-Halloween costumes make me happy. Some kid dressed up as Aladdin which was probably the best one I saw. I hope you all had a fabulous Halloween. Since I love the holiday so much and don't want it to end here's a little happy ending sundae:


-I've learned that sometimes picking up old "bad habits" can be thrilling and rejuvenating and add some spice to your life


-Thank you Cait Baldwin for taking such good care of me on Friday

-I finally saw Amelie. It was phenomenal but I broke down in a scene where she realizes the road she's going down will only lead to her being a lonely cat lady (which yanno is one of my greatest fears). That hit home hard.

-Andy Fong. I got to spend so much time with him this past weekend and it's been far too long since we've had times like that. I missed the shit out of those days and I got a taste of them this past weekend. (=

-Breakfast from the Corfu Diner NEVER disappoints. Taryn, Meg and I went and nearly orgasmed at the table with pleasure.

-The Bennetts (especially baby Joshy!). I visited them today, it had been far too long. Josh is such an animated little person now it's incredible.

19 days till I'm in TX with Cass! Holler

okay for serious bedtime. I have a very busy week filled with many assignments so I need to start it off with a semi acceptable nights sleep.
