Dinney Wrap Up

So I just found out my readings aren't due until the 27th and we get quizzed on them so it would really just be silly for me to read them this early as I won't remember the material for the quiz (I'm not rationalizing procrastination, shut your dirty mouth!)

Okay, so Tuesday we spent a large portion of the day at the pool in our timeshare which was a ton of fun. Kayla is such a little waterbug and we had tons of fun splish splashin away. Here's a pic of the girls:

At one point my sister Dena brought a bag of chocolate covered prunes in with her to snack on... (random pool snack item I know) so after much debating about how we should make the most of this situation (we strongly considered pulling a Caddyshack and scattering some about the pool to simulate poo poo {that's all for you Megan and Crissy>}) we decided to show up the California Raisins and do a coordinated water dance whilst holding the bag of chocolatey regularity in between our feet.

We stopped by the gift shop on our way out and I got myself a beautiful multicolored starfish necklace!

Wednesday we jumped over the hump by going to the Magic Kingdom! Kayla was so excited (note videos in earlier post) to go to Dinney and it was a truly magical day. Here's a great pic of Roey and Kayla on the ferry heading into the Kingdom:

Here's another fav pic of Shiksa and I in front of Cinderella's castle:

We got Kayla a princess costume, and after trying on basically every dress in the store we decided on Aurora from Sleeping Beauty. Here's Kayla pulling a Macauly (sp?) Culkin checking herself out:

ps her new favorite thing is spinning around like a ballerina and asking you to dance with her and dip her.

It was the perfect time to go b/c most people were back at work/school so we barely waited for anything all day and got to meet Daisy, Goofy, Pluto, Mickey, Minnie, Belle, Aurora, and Cinderella. When Kayla met Aurora she got really excited to see "herself"

While perusing shops I bought myself a fantastic Alice in Wonderland ornament, and saw this hilarious shirt:

Toward the end of the day we had a bit of time to kill before we gathered for the fireworks so we hit up Adventureland and went on the Pirates ride..... which we soon realized was a bad choice for a child who is not even 3. She began hysterically crying so crazy Auntzy Brian wripped her out of my hands and took charge of the situation by narrating our trip and making light of all the scary things we encountered, such as the pirate being drowned in a bucket who yanno was just swimming and being very sillyhaha. Amazingly it worked and she actually enjoyed the rest of our lil' boatride. Afterward we continued to horse around to make sure her good mood lasted for the fireworks

The fireworks were amazing, as was the hot cocoa my sister got to warm my freezing butt up and carrot cake

On the way out the crazy monorail driver was a speed demon that made sharp turns and I almost fell out! haha

Thursday was a ridiculous day, we spent approx 2 hours driving up and down the same roads looking for Best Buy thanks to the worst directions ever. Afterward we stopped at this crazy dollar store that was incredibly dirty and had the most random things like an arm sized Hannah Montana pen, this picture frame whose picture insert was the most depressed little girl, a dirty twisty straw with Angelica from Rugrats on it, a etc. Kayla and I were being very silly and loud in the store and at one point she chased me down the aisle screaming 'TEEN' at the top of her lungs. I'm always one to make a scene hahaha

Friday we had a yummy send off breakfast at IHOP, went mini golfing, then Roey and I took a nap b/c we were shot, I woke up to "the puppy" aka Kayla woofing at me and crawling into bed to nuzzle me awake, we played for a few hours, then she went into hysterics when we went to leave. It was AWFUL.

Saturday Roey and I had a yummy breakfast at the diner, I drove back then wallowed, procrastinated, sulked, etc until ummm Monday.

It's my last first day of classes EVER tomorrow! WHOOT!!!!! AND yanno the inauguration, no big deal
d=
I'm going to this party thing at a local bar. Should be interesting.

Peace, love, and cocoa puffs

I'll leave you with this amusing article mocking politically correct extremists:

Oh my gosh! The thing I remember most about Disney oh so many years ago was the Pirates ride. I cried the whole way, terrified that a cannonball was going to hit our boat!!! ahhhh
