.When my mom first left my crazy dad went on a single’s ad date palooza for a few years, and dragged me out with him every time (I was bait apparently). As a result I’ve eaten at almost every diner on Long Island.
.My eyes change color depending on what I am wearing, my mood, and the weather. They vary between blue, green and grey.
.I have many “irrational fears” such as my neck/collar bone being injured, drowning/the ocean, birds, bugs, being killed in a tornado or car accident, ending up alone/not being “needed”…
.I once watched one of my dogs eat my kitten right before my eyes. It was one of the most horrifying and upsetting experiences of my life.
.I want nothing more than to leave these borders and travel, on the top of the agenda is the UK , Italy, and Australia.
.I’ve been a vegetarian for about 3 ½ years now and one day hope to be a raw foodist.
.My first car accident was when I was 8, and I was alone behind the wheel.
.I don’t think I want kids for many reasons, but do want nothing more than to be the best “aunt” in the world. There are few people I love more in the world than my niece Kayla, and cousin Ryan and can’t wait for more little ones to bless my life and love unconditionally.
.I love potatoes in all forms, it’s the Irish in me d=
.My sister Rosie is the most important person in the world to me and I do not know what I would do without her in my life. The thought scares me more than I like to think about.
.There are times when I’m at work and I cannot believe that I am responsible for such things, and my students and their parents trust me and respect my opinions as an adult and a person who knows stuff. I still think of myself as a dumb kid most of the time.
.I'm very proud of myself for getting to where I am and putting myself through college and graduate school.
.I wish I didn’t give up dancing, the violin, and piano and hope to pick them back up again someday.
.2 things changed my life significantly for the better: My sister Rosie, and going to SUNY Oneonta and the immeasurable impact the relationships I built there had on my life.
.I’ve had a weird obsession with vampires for as long as I can remember, perhaps it’s because in many ways my life paralleled that of a vampire growing up due to my skin cancer and crazy father’s ridiculous way of forcing me to live my life because of it.
.To this day whenever I drive past the exit where my friend Billy died I have to hold back tears and am overcome with memories and goosebumps. RIP
.I tried to legally change my name to Crissy in 2nd grade.
.I was teased and bullied tremendously up until 9th grade when I suddenly became "cool".
.I got caught shoplifting a pair of jeans in junior high the day before my father's birthday, and the only reason why I was caught was because I had a guilty conscience and went back to the store to return them and was approached by security while doing so.
.I was an unbearably finicky eater as a child. The one thing I was always sure to eat was white rice with soy sauce and eggs, or pasta loaded with butter and salt.
.The first “dream” job I ever had was doing anything that involved scanning things (i.e. librarian, grocery store clerk, etc.). I had big dreams haha.
.I had a wild imagination as a child, it was my escape mechanism.
.I haven’t viewed my parents as “parents” since I was about 8, so needless to say I grew up very fast and have a very non-traditional definition of my "nuclear" family, which consists of my sister Rosie, her husband/my "brother" and his mother, and sisters Dena, Krissy, and her daughter Kayla, my Aunt Amy, Uncle Kev, & cousin Ryan. I love and view some of my friends as brothers and sisters as well.
.Most of you know this but it's always a good one... to break my fear of heights/flying I went skydiving... so my first time on a plane involved leaping out of it. I want to do more things like that.
.I have had a ridiculous amount of surgeries, and lost an ovary, appendix, and gallbladder all in less than a year.
