Wow! Sorry for the lack of posting but this one shall be a doozy that was well worth the wait so I guess a day by day break down would make the most sense.
December 26th
On the 26th I had a lovely brunch with Teresa. It was so good to see her, and she gave me yummy homemade chex mix for the road! Then my sister and I finally put her wedding photos in frames and hung them (it only took a year and a half... sometimes I wonder how she's my sister haha). After that I drove into Queens to pick up the marvelous Megan Cleary to kidnap her for a very Long Island 21st birthday. We picked up Jaci on the way back, my sister made us a yummy tempeh stir-fry dinner, we brainstormed ridiculous ideas to do for Megan's bday, then dropped Jaci off and rung in Megan's 21st seeing "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button". Afterward Megan and I went to a diner to attempt to get her first legal drink but seeing as it was 1am and LI blows alcohol was no longer being served, so we indulged in orgasmic onion rings & sweet potato fries while being stared at by sketchy men in the booth next to us who were the only other people in the restaurant.
December 27th (aka MEGAN'S BDAY!)
Megan and I woke up, got ready, picked up Jaci then went to get a yummy breakfast at the Sayville Diner to kickstart our adventure. While we were at the movie Jaci researched a list of 21 Long Island landmarks for us to find and take ridiculous pictures at so we discussed this while indulging. On the way out one of the $.50 machines had mustaches to "fool your friends". We obviously needed these for our adventure!
Despite his mighty efforts, Jesus was not going to steal the thunder of Megan's 21st birthday, like he has many in the past. We showed him!
We then picked up obligatory cupcakes to enjoy later and began our adventure. I was DD and Megan and Jaci would be the drinking passengers all day b/c it's not a 21st bday without alot of drinking.... from sippie cups:
We hit up so many ridiculous sites, ranging from a Sphinx, to a mechanical eagle. This was no ordinary mechanical eagle however and was not easy to find. When we arrived at the location all we saw was an American eagle on the Post Office building, so we knew we must be close. We went inside and Jaci sketchily asked an employee if he could help us with our scavenger hunt in finding said mechanical eagle. He informed us the eagle in question was in fact the one on the building outside, and it flapped its wings every hour on the hour. We then realized it was 12:59pm so we ran like the dickens outside for a very anti-climactic wing flapping as the town clock was behind. We made a long pit-stop in Port Jeff where Megan legally entered her first bar and had a shot of "Broken Down Golf Cart". Despite the yuppy puppy town and shot name Megan remained true to her roots:
At this point we were unsure as to what to do next which caused Megan and Jaci to be trapped in a glass case of emotion:
We trecked out to the Long Island duck as our final stop, where we lit a candle and indulged in cupcakes!

We then decided to end our tour of Long Island, dropped Jaci off b/c she was heading to 'Cuse early the next morning to help Andy prepare for the move into his big boy job and headed to Dave & Buster's to meet up with Carolyn, Nick, and Dean. We had a great dinner, the boys were satisfied as they got to play video games, and then we just chilled out at Nick's after where I may or may not have gotten REALLY into singing along during Rockband. Here's a pic of my fabulous friends at D&B's:
Mr. Noodle even came to wish Megan a happy birthday, what a lucky girl!
December 28th
Megan and I took our time getting ready then made a hellish drive back to Queens b/c we got lost in convo and I foolishly drove into Brooklyn. Afterwards my sister and I went to go see "Seven Pounds", which was incredible and made me cry harder than I have in as long as I can remember. I strongly recommend it.
skipping forward to December 30th
I drove to Colin's house in East Greenbush for my lil' vaca with him and Mary to celebrate the New Year. He has a ginormous beautiful house with a really long intimidating driveway. His parents were incredibly nice, and paid for my dinner at this amazing Italian restaurant that had a kick-ass salad bar with beets that literally made me jump with boy (this should say joy, Crissy caught my Freudian slip and I decided to leave it for your pleasure) which amused his mom immensely. After dinner Mary, Col, and I headed to the Lake House so we could get settled there to prepare for the New Year's Eve party before the storm. Hoween last minute decided to leave the next morning which was an absolute disaster and that's all I'm going to say about that.
December 31st (aka New Year's Eve)
Mary and I lounged around and watched movies all day, such as "Almost Famous" which is absolutely fabulous. Everyone arrived around 8pm and it was an amazing party! I love all of Colin's friends, we had so much fun, I played a mean game of flip cup, and unfortunately don't remember a whole lot of details past that point (typical... I'm swearing off Tequila) but supposedly I was really fun and a social butterfly. My team put up a good fight tho, we called ourselves "Team Awesome":
Colin and Mary were total babes and hosted a fabulous party:
January 1st
Colin's friend Greg and I apparently hit it off.... so waking up next to him in 2009 was a shocking and ridiculous way to ring in the New Year. Who am I? haha. If you want more details inquire and I may share but they are not necessary to be posted here. No worries it was nothing too serious. We all then got a yummy breakfast at the local diner which was a good time. I really genuinely enjoy all his friends and definitely plan on hanging out with them more often! The rest of the day was spent cleaning and driving back to Colin's. We went to dinner at Friendly's (shout out to Jenn Bunker!) and met Mary's mom, sister and nieces. Then we went home, watched "Back to the Future" b/c amazingly Mary had never seen it, and lounged around.
January 2nd
After Hoween left Mary and I ran errands and got ready for New Year's Eve Part Deux b/c we had a lot of booze and food to get rid of. I got to meet more of Colin's friends, all but 1 crazy bitch who started problems with Mary were awesome. His cousin's girlfriend is fabulous, from TX but not a Texan if yanno what I mean, volunteers at a Domestic Violence Shelter (which I got wicked excited about and was going on and on about Taryn), and has a crazy sense of humor like me and introduced me to the ridiculous song by Soulja Boy called "Get Silly" which we decided it appropriate to entertain the party-goers with by breaking into dance. I totally bombed at beer pong as per usual, as I was more interested in just being ridiculous. My boyfriend Zack Morris called while I was playing Pong b/c he left his phone at the house. Thankfully Mary took the call and found it for him:
Things with Greg went very well again and we had a very nice time, aside from his friend awkwardly barging in on us hahahaha. Overall it was a fantastic night and I'm head over heels with Mary Falzo:
January 3rd
I took my time getting up that morning, especially since Greg sleeps until forever and there is nothing I love more than snuggling. We dropped Greg off as he had to get ready to fly back to CA, then Mary and I spent the rest of the day cleaning and chatting. I eventually made my way to Tooker's, we ordered pizza, chatted, and watched "Milk", "Slumdog Millionnaire" (REALLY GOOD!), and "Grandma's Boy" which was ridiculous and I'm pretty sure my senior year stalker is in. I love Tooker and Hannah!!!
Finn and I slept together as per usual which was nice b/c I got used to sleeping with someone else. Here's Finn giving me sultry eyes:
Kobi looked on adoringly:
January 4th
Hannah made us a yummy french toast breakfast, Tooker and I discovered the wonder of videochatting on Gmail, and I eventually made my way to Oneonta to visit with Cassie and Tim. Cassie and I had an orgasmic dinner at the Italian Kitchen which has now trumped Mama Nina's as being my fav Italian place in Oneonta. They have new chefs and a new look and it's amazing. We started off with the complimentary warm bread with seasoned oil and feta cheese, then got incredibly cheesy garlic knots, a personal pizza with black olives which was crisp and robust, and gnocchi in a creamy pesto sauce that was melt in your mouth fantastic!!! Afterwards to get our sweet fix we went to Stewart's for the best ice cream on earth. I got a make your own sundae with Caramel Candy Bar ice cream, it was to die for. I left Oneonta at 7:30 (typical) then begrudgingly drove back to CT.
January 5th
On 4 hrs sleep I forced myself to go to the gym then zombied out at my first day back at work. When I got home I cleaned, etc. and Crissy and I exchanged Christmas presents! She got me a beautiful homemade necklace from a girl she went to school with who makes her own jewelry. It's made out of brown and blue fabric and marbles and I adore it! I'll put a pic up later!! Here's the website tho:
www.jewelrywithoutjewels.com
I also got incredible news from Ed! He's going to be a reporter for an ABC affiliate in Harrisburg, VA doing their morning and lunchtime news reports!!!!!! AHHHH!!!!!
January 6th-7th
We had registration advising all day and I was totally not in the mood to meet with students. I had a horrible afternoon thanks to a mega bitch, and Mary had a shitty day too so we decided to have a girls night and baked cookies, ordered Chinese and watched "Serendipity". We then went on a google/facebook rampage searching for childhood crushes, and DEFINITELY sent a myspace message to Rider Strong aka Shawn Hunter circa Boy Meets World hahahaha.
Due to the ice storm I sleptover and we had a late arrival this morning, which I made even later b/c there was no way I was driving on the skating rink roads to get to work by 10am. On the way in I discovered Dunkaccino's are back, which totally brightened my day. Tonight Crissy is making me homemade lentil soup and I'm totally excited. I'm going home tomorrow b/c we leave for Florida on Friday! WHOOT!
Okay, if you persevered through this entire post I commend you and send you my love.
