So today as soon as I got into work I saw an email from my grad pgm. advisor informing us of 2 job opportunities at Cal Poly, where Greg the boy I met over New Year's goes. I couldn't help but giggle at the chances she would email us about job opportunities (she doesn't do this often) in a state where today they had dry and sunny 80 degree weather, while here in CT we got shit on with a snow storm that caused my commute home to take nearly 3 times as long, I almost rear-ended a woman (I still don't know how I didn't, magical forces intervened), and I saw SEVEN cars that had spun out of control and were stuck in ditches, etc. on the side of the never-ending road I take each day to and from school. I can't say I didn't give it a thought, but I'm far too much of a wimp to move to the other side of the country away from my oxygen no matter how fabulously appealing California has always been to me.
