So I'm completly smitten with Mr. Jason Mraz, I've always been a fan but now that I discovered his blog I am an uber fan. He's a raw foodist, positive thinker, environmentalist, quirky, humorous, and all around inspirational "go against the grain" sorta guy with a lot of insightful things to share. Check it out:

I've been perusing his posts tonight and came across some wonderful things such as a recipe for Chocomole (for all you avocado fans out there this is for you!)
What you'll need in the bowl:
2 Ripe (soft) Avocados
20 yummy dates
Some Coconut Oil, Agave Nectar, Vanilla Extract, and Raw Cacao
-Halve the two Avocados and mush up all the green goodness. You may throw away the seed but save the skins as those will be used as serving cups later.
-Chop the dates well. About 8-10 dates per avocado should do the trick. A food processor makes this task super easy, but doing it by hand can be meditative.
-Squirt/Pour/Drizzle in as much Agave Nectar as you'd like. I like to do a few tablespoons to start and then add more at the end if the mousse isn't sweet enough.
-Just a drop of Vanilla will do.
-Then throw on a Heaping spoonful of Coconut Oil. This is a must as it will really dress up the dessert and surprise the tastebuds with something more exotic that you'd anticipated. (on a side note, you can use cococut oil for cooking everything.)
-Add one spoonful of raw Cacao PER avocado. Too much cacao could make the goo bitter, so be modest.
-Now stir it up. If you have a kitchen mixer, try to harmonize with it. Otherwise mixing with a knife and fork will help you get those dates down to a smoother dimension.
-The recipe should fit perfectly back into the Avocado Skins. Whatever is left over you should eat with your fingers right then and there.
-Add your favorite garnish and let cool in the fridge. Waiting to eat this dessert until the next day allows all the flavors to congeal and the whole thing becomes more like a pudding.
Additionally, he too suffers from sinus problems like me and prefers the natural healing method like me, the ever so sexy, neti-pot:
We also share the same political views. In explaining why he is voting for Obama this is what he had to say:
"Patriotism has caused this country to think it’s the only country in the world, that the world should respect our authority for some reason. This singular way of thinking is not only making the US an embarrassment, it’s positioning us quickly as the new enemy.
I do not want someone in the White House with previous WAR experience. I am NOT voting for Patriotism. I am voting for peace, progress, and unity. Sadly, this vote is referred to as the vote for change. Because peace, progress and unity is something we still do not represent in the United States."
Finally, he enlightened me to a fabulous blog that redefines environmentalism as everything within the human experience. They have some very interesting ideas and things to share that make you question your old beliefs and/or inspire you to adopt new ones. They sketched a "Peace Alphabet" in which every letter of the alphabet had a doodle of something that was peaceful that started with that letter. Here's my fav:
And the icing on the cake, Mr. Mraz is a cat lover and owner. If only I could find someone like this to be my partner, I would be one smitten kitten.
In other news...
I finally got myself some rainboots, and a winter coat today, and a spiffy black blazer!
Here's what my sweet new boots look like:
And here's my coat (just picture what this woman would like like in it if she had alot more curves and about 5x the breasts haha):
Okay, I MUST go do work now. I want to try to bang out one of the silly papers I have to do before SNL. Tomorrow I have absolutely nothing to do except workout, so lots of HW will be churned out. Today was definitely a productive day, but not so much on the homework end haha
