So Lisa uploaded this fabulous photo of the pond on campus at Oneonta (in the shape of NY state, the fountain being where Oneonta would be... for all the non-Oneontan readers who haven't heard that schbeel a gajillion times) and it made me get all sentimental and long for the days I spent walking past that pond with some of the greatest people I've ever met, overlooking that pond while dining at Sbarro with friends, overlooking that pond while hanging with Ed in his room in Hays, trucking past the pond en route to conquering Mt. Sweet Jesus with Cassie in the wee hours of the morning, simulating Jilly Doll diving into the pond with Andy as one of our many "special tasks" during Orientation, walking alongside the pond with Dean & our foolish crew to his car to go to Denny's/McDonald's 3am b-fast, plotting with Erik about how he planned to kayak in the pond on graduation day, awefully looking at the nuclear fish while taking Orientation photos along the dock, etc. Needless to say I miss all my alum, and current Oneontans very much, and when you spend an entire day by yourself "doing homework" you do alot of thinking. So anycrap, here's the pic:
There is a pleasure in the pathless woods;
There is a rapture on the lonely shore;
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar;
I love not man the less, but Nature more...

Get out of my head. I am having the same exact thoughts today. These lonely feelings, by definition, blow.
