Thirsty for Thursday

The weekend was great and flew by. Friday Mary, Hoween, Jess and I went to dinner at the Willimantic Brewing Company. They shamelessly flirted with these sketchy dudes in order to win the table from the aggressive couple who were grilling us the entire time we waited for the men to finish their meal. I chose not to partake in this shameless use of having lady like advantages b/c I just didn't have the stomach for it that night. We got back to campus a little after 8, and apparently Lip Sync (the huge homecoming competition I've only been looking forward to since I first saw it a year ago) was full and they weren't letting anyone else in. What the shit?! I was crushed. I had been looking forward to the Rainbow Center's performance for longer than I could imagine. Becky and Josh pulled up to campus right about when we realized there was no hope of getting in so we head home disappointed, then ate and chat for hours before bed. Crissy came home way past the time she usually turns into a pumpkin, and was drunk and EXTREMELY entertaining. We both were in tears at the very sight of each other, it was ridiculous haha.

Saturday we went to the mega Yankee Candle flagship store in South Deerfield, MA. I was EXTREMELY overwhelmed and didn't know where to start, lost Becky and Josh way to many times because I was so distracted by all the options and stimulation. It was glorious. After we perused every nook and cranny of the store and I completed my purchases (which included sweet potato butter' a cutezy sign to hang in our kitchen that says "Welcome, 'Irish' you love, luck, and laughter"; Pumpkin Spice car fresheners, and some awesome presents for friends and family) we had dinner at Chandler's, the lovely restaurant attached to the store. I got a veggie burger made up of veggies, black beans, and sweet potato (unique and delightful) and for dessert, pumpkin mousse adorned with whipped cream and a ginger snap that was raw and orgasmic in consistency. I was a happy gal. While at dinner we were talking about the future (aka when Becky and I graduate) and the potential of us all living together on Long Island!!!!!!! (I'm trying not to get too excited yet, especially because if I get a hall director position that is where I shall obviously live, but if not I need my downstate friends to move in with me b/c I sure as shit can't afford to live on LI alone with my "lavish" student affairs salary *please note my extreme sarcasm*. Living w/ Becky and Josh would be the balls!).

Afterwards we bought some snacks and had a good ol' fashioned game night, which Mary and her roommate joined in on.

Here's some pics:

We are pretty in pink

I wasn't the least bit excited for my dessert:

Okay, back to hw so I can get to bed at a decent hour so I can workout in the am and try to offset gaining back all the weight I've lost because of stress, my period, and visitors these past few days.

ONEONTA ON THURSDAY FOR HALLOWEEN, THE STRAYLIGHT RUN CONCERT, DEAN'S 21ST, VISITING THE BENNETT'S, AND REUNION WITH THE REST OF MY ONEONTA OXYGEN, I'M SO EXCITED I COULD PEE MY PANTS!

TX TO SEE CASSIE IN LESS THAN 30 DAYS!

and JOSIE AND BOB DYLAN IN JUST OVER 20 DAYS.

Lots of happy times to look forward to, but a gross amt of schoolwork in between all those things.
